Gary Fila (born 18 November 1981) is Australian rules football field umpire in the Australian Football League. Prior to joining the senior list, he umpired in the South Australian National Football League,[1] and officiated in both the 2005 and 2006 SANFL grand finals.[2] He made his AFL début on 30 June 2007, in a match between Fremantle and Carlton at Subiaco Oval. One of his first AFL decisions was to give Brendon Fevola a double 50 metre penelty. Once referred to by Lou Richards (The Footy Show) as ' Little Gentleman'[3]
